Happy 1st Birthday Max!

Back in the middle of June we traveled to Pentwater to celebrate our good friends' son, Max's first birthday. Our friends Lee and Julie live in Chicago but have a beautiful "cottage" in Pentwater. We grilled out and the kids tried to break a pinata. It was a tough little pinata and didn't want to break! The bat actually broke first--LOL! Max was adorable at his party, although he didn't want to have much to do with the cake. Leave it to "Aunt Abby", though, to just force a finger-full of frosting into his reluctant little mouth. He liked it after that! We found out later that the poor little buddy was running a bit of a fever. All in all--a great party!
